Environmental Control Systems

Research activities

The research activity is focused on complex systems modeling, control and planning and deals with topics in the area of environmental systems.

The methodological and applied research includes the following issues:

Non-linear systems modeling and simulation: 3D meteo and chemical transport models, data assimilation.

System identification: forecast models for environmental variables, source-receptor and emission-cost models.

Decision models for environmental system planning, internal and external costs, ecosystems and health exposure assessment.
